How can I stand out as an applicant?
While it is important to have a strong academic background, applicants with significant leadership, professional, research, and/or volunteer experiences stand out most. There are many TXST resources to help you gain these experiences and build your resume. Explore the IDEA Center home page to learn how our office can connect your with research experiences. How do I make an advising appointment?
The IDEA Center's research coordinator offers fellowship advising for undergraduate students and alumni exploring or applying to scholarships and fellowships. Schedule an appointment with her via Navigate TXST.
To create an appointment, choose “Undergraduate Academic Services” for the care unit and “fellowship advising” for the service. Appointments are either 30 or 45 minutes and can be accommodated either in person or over Zoom.

I am a graduate student. Can I still use these resources?
The IDEA Center supports undergraduate and alumni only. TXST graduate students have access to fellowship advising with the Graduate College external funding coordinators. Visit the Grad College's external funding page, to learn more about their advising process.
